If I were you I'd get in touch with the Army and tell them that he's delinquent in caring for his kids.  They take that kind fo thing very seriously.  Start with the CO of the last base where he was stationed.

Word of mouth is powerful, thanks for that. Their dad got his tendencies from his stepfather who is long gone.  If he lived alone, though, the kids would be in the shelter with me, no question.

Help us please!  I'm living in my local battered women's shelter.  My kids are living with their dad's relatives.  I have only a few weeks left in my allotted time at the shelter and then I'll be homless, guaranteeing me loss of custody of my two fantastic children.  Affordable rental housing is very tight where I live and I don't have the means to buy. All I want is a place for my kids to call home.  I want to have Thanksgiving dinner around our own table under our own (rented or not) roof, together. 

 This week I am having gall bladder surgery.  My daughter is epileptic and her meds run me $100 per month after insurance.  My son is a senior in high school and will need regalia, invitations, etc for his graduation. I'm already in debt up to my eyeballs.  We need serious help.  Please, won't you reach out to a family in need?
